Sinner’s Song That Would Truly Bring out the Deepest Cries of Your Soul

Have you ever tried reaching a point where you relied solely on yourself? If yes, how was it going for you? Did you get exhausted, worn-out, drained? Well, I did. I came to a point where, unconsciously, I relied too much upon myself and forgot how it is to rest and rely on His presence. And as expected, I fell apart and struggled to stand again.

I was too stubborn to call unto God that I got myself busy from the inclinations of this world and invested my time to the things that weren’t important. Yes, I was happy, pleased and thrilled but it didn’t last long. It was all temporary. And I want something lasting, something satisfying.

And then I stumbled upon this song. I came to realize that He is all I need every millisecond of my life. My strength, my one defense, and my righteousness.

Apart from God, we are absolutely nothing. Apart from Him, we will not be able to survive this journey. It is He who picked us up from the dust, it is He who introduced us from who we really are, it is He who made us realized how much of our worth is.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You’re the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

To teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

You’re my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
